Planning
Planning permission is required for most non minor alterations to buildings that effect the external appearance. If you’re undecided whether or not you need permission, it’s best to consult your local planning department for guidance.
Developing without permission can in the worst case result in enforcement action forcing you to remove extensions or alterations and can make your property unsaleable.
Planning Applications generally require:
- Plans and elevations as existing
- Plans and elevation as proposed
- Location plans
- Details of materials and finishes used
- Design and access statements may also be required for non domestic alterations
